Employee Updates and Resources

The health and safety of our employees is a priority for Vitro. The company is monitoring the coronavirus outbreak and the guidelines provided by government and international health agencies. Please check this website regularly for updates on reporting to work guidelines and other vital information.

Vitro is following the hygeine guidelines that have been communicated (frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitzer, keeping a distance of two meters or six feet from coworkers, and answering the health questionnaire daily before entering the facility).  In addition, all air travel is suspended until further notice.

Vitro Employees and Contractors will be considered potential infection risks if they exhibit a fever (> 100.4° F or 38° C), cough, extreme tiredness (fatigue), difficulty-breathing/shortness of breath, experience a loss of taste and/or smell OR:

  • Have sought or received testing or treatment for COVID 19 in the last 14 days, OR

  • Have  been in close contact in the last 14 days with anyone who has been confirmed with COVID-19.

These persons shall:

  • Stay home and contact your personal healthcare provider to undergo screening.

  • Call or email your plant/site nurse or Human Resources to communicate your concerns, health status, and explain any absences. A work from home plan may be established if your job and health status permits.

  • Inform Vitro if screening confirms you have COVID-19 so others you have been in close contact with can be notified and monitored.

  • Do not return to work until you are cleared to return by your healthcare provider and Vitro. Vitro may monitor persons returning to work for 1-2 weeks to verify symptoms do not return.
